![]() With the first pictures of the new Tiguan, Volkswagen is starting the countdown for the debut of it’s 14th model series. The Sports Utility Vehicle – SUV for short – will be presented to the public for the first time in September as part of the International Motor Show (IAA in Frankfurt). A combination of power and elegance characterizes the design of the new Tiguan. It was conceived as a borderliner between the urban world and endless landscapes, between business and leisure time. The Tiguan is a multitalent with driving characteristics that are just as agile as they are comfortable, high utility value and groundbreaking technologies. ![]() The Rabbit is available in two- and four-door hatchback body styles, and in three models: base, performance GTI, and high-performance R32. As you might expect from something built in Wolfsburg, Germany, the Rabbit is Teutonic and all that--which explains the conservative, boxy shape that's well detailed.
![]() The Eos, an all-new 4-passenger hardtop convertible from Volkswagen. The car was dubbed "Eos" after Greek mythology, Eos being the goddess of the dawn (and sister of the moon). The name seems appropriate and it's easy to say in any language. Like other VW convertibles, the Eos is pleasant, comfortable and plush. It's adept at cruising back roads briskly or blending in with traffic on a long highway commute. It's a model apart in the VW family, slated somewhere above the Jetta and below the Passat—logical, as the Eos is built on the Passat platform. Its interior packaging, however, is like that of the Jetta. ![]() |
